I’m not a tech founder
who started with code.
I’m an educator, parent and carer who started with a feeling that something important was being lost.
It started in a public park. One ordinary afternoon, I lost sight of my son. Only for a moment — but long enough for the world to go quiet. Long enough to know that something had to change about how we keep small humans safe without turning their childhoods into something tracked, watched and recorded.
I didn’t want to hand an eight-year-old a phone, a smartwatch or a GPS device. I wanted a calmer answer. One that respected childhood and still gave the adults around it a quiet kind of confidence.
After years working in childcare, education and foster care, I saw a second story unfolding alongside the first. Incredible educators spending more and more of their day overwhelmed by documentation, disconnected systems, compliance pressure and constant admin instead of meaningful time with children. Safety systems leaning on stress, rushed processes and unrealistic expectations placed on already overstretched teams.
At the same time, as a parent and someone deeply driven by care and connection, I became increasingly aware of how much modern technology can cross the line from safety into surveillance. I didn’t want systems that removed humanity from childhood. I wanted systems that protected children, supported educators and strengthened genuine connection.
Simply Safe Group was created from that belief.
The vision began with a simple idea — a safer way to keep children connected and protected during outings and everyday moments, without invasive tracking, unnecessary photos or constant monitoring. From there it grew into something larger: one connected, privacy-first ecosystem that gives educators time back with children while improving safety, communication and compliance.
Children deserve presence.
Educators deserve support.
Families deserve trust.
Every part of Simply Safe Group has been shaped by what we’ve seen first-hand.
Educators, not admin clerks
Seeing incredible educators emotionally exhausted from documentation and disconnected systems instead of meaningful time with children.
Trust is everything for families
Understanding how fragile and how essential trust is between centres and the families they serve.
Compliance shouldn't break people
Recognising the pressure services face around safety and compliance — and how often that pressure lands on already overstretched teams.
Childhood deserves connection
Believing children deserve environments centred around presence and connection, not devices and surveillance.
Bringing back meaningful moments for children, educators and families through safer, simpler and more human-centred systems.
Values that quietly shape every decision we make.
One connected ecosystem. Quietly supporting the work that matters.
Educator dashboards
Calm operational clarity. Only what needs attention.
Live excursion headcounts
Quiet confidence on outings, without constant tracking.
Role-based access
Each role sees only what it needs. Privacy by scope.
AI-assisted documentation
AI drafts. Educators always decide.
Family communication
Just enough information. Never surveillance.
Eco-conscious wearable tags
Considered hardware, only when it adds safety.
Childhood is short. The hours an educator spends on a screen are hours they cannot spend on the floor. The data a centre collects is a quiet contract with every family who walks through its door.
Simply Safe Group exists because those choices deserve more care than the industry has given them. We believe technology in early childhood should be felt as relief, not pressure — and that the people doing this work deserve tools that respect their time, their judgement and the children in their care.
Technology that quietly supports people, instead of controlling them.
This is not about replacing educators or making childcare more automated. It’s about supporting the people already doing one of the most important jobs in the world.
Bring back meaningful moments for children, educators and families through safer, simpler and more human-centred systems.
