What's live, what's next, and the standard we're building to.
Simply Safe Connect™ is being built in the open. This page is the honest view — a working operational MVP today, structured pilots next, and a clear path to a production-grade platform worthy of children's data.
Live in the MVP
Phase 01Demonstrable today, in this preview.
- Connected operational modulesRoutines, incidents, observations, handover, chef + allergy, learning cycles, compliance, exports
- Role-based access (Director, Room Leader, Educator, Casual, Chef, Educational Leader, Parent, Regulator, Admin)
- Auto-expiring casual room permissions
- Audit log on every sensitive action
- Row-level security on every table
- Parent view & regulator read-only view
- Demo seed data — believable centre, rooms, children, allergies
Pilot phase
Phase 02Co-designed with one or two friendly Australian centres before any wider rollout.
- Friendly-centre pilot agreement (1–2 centres)
- Educator co-design sessions
- Plain-English privacy notice for parents
- Real-device testing on tablets used in rooms
- Offline-tolerant logging for low-signal rooms
Production-grade roadmap
Phase 03The work that turns a credible MVP into infrastructure trusted with children's data. Delivered with specialist humans — security firms, privacy lawyers, compliance consultants, senior engineers — not by an AI builder alone.
Penetration test by an Australian security firm before any centre stores real children's data at scale.
Customer-managed keys, encrypted backups, documented key rotation. Storage already encrypted at rest by default.
Privacy Impact Assessment under the Australian Privacy Act, alignment with the National Quality Framework and ACECQA expectations.
Real-time load testing, monitored uptime, on-call rotation, documented incident response and breach notification.
Senior full-stack + security engineer owning the codebase. Lovable codebase exports cleanly to GitHub for handover.
SOC 2 readiness, with IRAP considered if government-funded centres become a target market.
Why we publish this
Childcare operates on trust. Pretending an early-stage product is finished erodes that trust. We'd rather show directors, partners and parents exactly where we are — and exactly what standard we are walking toward — so the conversation starts in the right place.
